About The Ekka
The Royal Queensland Show aka Ekka is Queensland’s largest agricultural event, attracting on average 400,000 people annually.
This iconic show that has been running since 1876 showcases the best of Queensland, attracting more than 21,000 competition entries from woodchop to giant vegetables, 10,000 animals from beef cattle to cats and dogs, world-class live entertainment, award-winning food and wine, carnival rides and showbags, family shopping, educational activities and much more.

There’s nothing more magical (or delicious) than having a Strawberry Sundae at the Ekka! Brought to you by The Common Good, an initiative of the Prince Charles Hospital Foundation, these tasty treats help fund innovation and medical discoveries that improve and save lives.
This year, the Common Good team have partnered up with Chef Collective and DoorDash to have these icy treats delivered directly to your doorstep!
Funds collected will still go to the charity — and you’ll also be supporting farmers by making sure they’re not left out of pocket for their ingredients.
